Managing Supply Chain Equipment with Kontrol

Collaboration is the key to success in managing supply-chain equipment, especially when multiple business partners are spread across dispersed locations; even internationally.

What is Kontrol

Kontrol is a web-based system, designed by logistics specialists, for managing supply-chain equipment.  It is easy to deploy, requiring no special hardware of software.  Its intuitive and easy-to-use screens enable all business partners to use a common platform to provide visibility and control for managed equipment across all locations in the supply-chain.

Problems that can arise if the equipment is not managed effectively are:

  • Loss
  • Misuse
  • Misplacement
  • Retrieval for inspection and repair
  • Stock piling
  • Stock shortage
  • Traceability

Using the equipment efficiently and managing it effectively reduces the investment requirement and the operating costs resulting from:

  • Surplus stocks
  • Replacing losses
  • Repairing damage
  • Relocating misplaced items
  • Poor maintenance
  • Stock-outs

Benefits of Kontrol

Well-managed equipment delivers a significantly better life-time return on investment and reduces the carbon footprint.

Kontrol handles unlimited equipment types and locations.  It offers functionality for Locations to re-order equipment supplies, either manually or by auto-replenishment.  If there are charges relating to equipment use and loss, Kontrol can process these.  It provides charged locations with a daily analysis of incurred charges in local currency, with invoice summaries for upload into financial systems.

Kontrol can interface with ERP/WMS systems.  Using serial-number tracking and traceability, it can manage specific items by unique identification (bar-code or RFID).

Kontrolis a “SaaS” application, provided on a pay-by-use basis related directly to the key drivers of your supply-chain.  This enables you to easily identify the cost-saving benefits of using the system.
