Gideon Hillman FCILT FCMI MIC has over 24 years Global Supply Chain, Logistics & Materials Handling industry experience, having been employed at a Senior Management Level throughout Europe with both manufacturers & Global 3rd Party Logistics Providers prior to establishing Gideon Hillman Consulting in 2004, which is now one of the leading Logistics and Supply Chain consultancies in the UK.
His areas of expertise are in Production Logistics, B2B and B2C warehousing, distribution and delivery networks, 3rd Party Logistics operations, outsourcing, and e-fulfilment operations. His extensive supply chain and logistics experience includes grocery and non-grocery retail / wholesale, food production and processing, consumer goods, automotive, general manufacturing, utilities and construction sectors across the UK and Europe.

Phillip Beckham MILT has over 30 years’ experience in Logistics and Warehousing covering all aspects of Materials Management, Procurement, Warehouse and Inventory Management, UK & European Logistics, Supply Chain Optimisation and Quality Management, prior to joining Gideon Hillman Consulting as a Senior Consultant in 2007.
He has significant experience in Vendor Management, Vendor Support Operations, Inbound/outbound Logistics, Warehouse, Distribution and e-fulfilment Centre design to optimise pick rates and efficiency as well as 8 years Facilities and Engineering management experience. He is an expert in Warehouse and Distribution Centre facility layouts and optimisation (including resource planning) and WMS integration to optimise pick rates and efficiency and provides our clients with detailed layout designs and full racking and equipment requirement specifications utilising our in-house CAD design facilities, combined with his significant experience including the development of complete Standard Operating Procedures.

Kenneth Porter BSc MA MILT is a Strategic and Operational Supply Chain Consultant with over 25 years’ experience in developing and optimising logistics operations. He has extensive experience using advanced modelling techniques to develop logistics strategies and operational improvements and is effective at engaging with key stakeholders at all levels ensuring that he delivers real benefits to client organisations.
His key skills are Logistics Strategy Development and Operational Review, Analysis and Improvements, Supply Chain and Logistics Network Modelling and Strategic Design, Business Case Development, Stakeholder Engagement, Solution Implementation and Warehouse and Distribution Centre Optimisation including design, workflows, layouts, process, automation, control systems, and WMS specification and integration.
Kenneth is highly proficient in the development of spread sheet based simulation tools and decision support models (as well as being able to use industry standard tools such as DPS) , and regularly supports clients with warehouse planning and strategic transport network design.

Ian Maughan MILT is an experienced Supply Chain / logistics professional with over 30 years of operations management and consulting experience predominantly in a 3PL retail distribution background across multiple customers and product types both within customer facing, warehousing and transportation functions.
He is well versed in strategic development and optimisation of warehouse operations with particular expertise in WMS, Stock Management, Labour Management and operational planning, possessing in depth knowledge of supply chain planning and design, including modelling and simulation methodology for the execution of optimisation strategies.
Having held multiple roles within 3PL operations management and supply chain systems consulting environment has allowed him to deliver operational and strategic development projects across many fields, including many close working partnerships and customers relationships.
His knowledge of all aspects of Distribution operations and IT systems allows Ian to deliver direct benefits through delivery of optimisation and development projects which add real value to the customer’s business.
He has worked on projects with companies including include Coach House, Nisa Retail, Tesco, Fine Décor, ILG, Kwik Save, Wincaton, Bridgend Council, Asda, Focus, Wickes, Wyevale Garden Centres, UPS (Boots), Subway, Bargain Booze, National Trust and Oak Construction.

Kenneth Paine BSc (Hons) is highly experienced in the strategic development of supply chains and the tactical design of logistics operations as well as distribution optimisation. Kenneth has a background in contract logistics design with several major 3PLs, and has over 16 years of experience specialising in simulation modelling, most especially transport resource analysis, transport modelling, strategic network design, detailed operational transport schedules, depot locations and boundary definitions as well as own vehicle fleet vs. contractor optimisation.
GH clients that he has worked with include DX Group, Pointons, Greencore, Farmfoods, DHL, Exel, Greene King, Morrisons, TDG, Wincanton, Monkfield Nutrition, Epwin Group and IKEA.
Kenneth has a degree in Strategic Systems Management and is a native Spanish speaker having supported clients with projects in Spain, Mexico and Chile as well as the UK and other parts of Europe.
Rod Taylor has over 30 years’ experience in the retail distribution and warehousing industry, initially in administration and stock control and audit, before becoming a business analyst and then consultant.
His focus for most his career has been process analysis, system design and data manipulation which has now extended to procurement, WMS, transport systems, retail systems, and some finance systems on a variety of projects from simple review and re-engineering to full system design.

Rod has good communication skills and a highly visual way of looking at systems and processes, this combined with his training and documenting skills allows him to contribute to most situations.
Dinesh Unadkat MILT MIEx is a specialised customs consultant with over 28 years’ experience across a range of industries. Dinesh is Responsible for advising companies on complicated Customs & Excise, export and import related issues, ensuring companies are compliant with all current HMRC legislation.
His experience includes Implementation of ERTS, Customs & Bonded (Excise) Warehouse facilities in accordance with HMRC guidelines. Liaising and negotiating between HMRC and company board members on any related matters including legal issues. Knowledge of EU, US and UAE Customs & Excise issues, Raising indirect tax and compliance awareness in clients' businesses and has taken active part in projects involving indirect tax considerations.
He is able to recognize, develop and maintain indirect tax cost saving opportunities for clients, and prevent unnecessary losses by carrying out indirect tax and compliance reviews for clients; Analysing highly complex indirect tax penalties through a systematic approach to any given situation, with the ability to clearly explain complex indirect tax issues to non-specialists. Dinesh is a member of the Institute of Logistics and Transport and a Member of the Institute of Export.
