Logistics ConsultantGideon Hillman FCILT MIC has over 20 years European Supply Chain, Logistics and Materials Handling industry experience, having been employed at a Senior Management Level throughout Europe with both manufacturers and Global 3rd Party Logistics Providers for over 12 years, prior to establishing Gideon Hillman Consulting in 2004.

His areas of expertise and experience are in Logistics Tender Management, Commercial and Business Development, Supply Chain and Logistics Solution Design and Implementation throughout Europe for major manufacturers and household brand names in the Automotive, Food Production and Processing, Grocery and Non-Grocery Retail, Home Delivery Networks, Utilities and General Industrial & Manufacturing sectors.

He is regularly asked to write articles and provide comment for many trade publications, was a conference speaker on “Asset Management In the Supply Chain” at the IFPWA Global Conference in Edinburgh hosted by UKWA in 1998 and a speaker on Supply Chain Management at the Aid & Trade Humanitarian Relief Conference in Geneva in 2006.

More recently (2011) he addressed a trade mission (by invitation) at The Canadian High Commission in London on the subject of Logistics Outsourcing in the UK.

Gideon is a Member of The Institute of Consulting (a division of The Chartered Management Institute) and a Chartered Fellow of the Institute of Logistics and Transport


Sue.jpgSue Hillman MCIPD AIC - prior to joining Gideon Hillman Consulting in 2005, had spent 9 years in Senior HR roles within the Private and Public sectors (both permanent and contract). She is an accomplished HR generalist with experience in a range of HR activities including Employee Relations, Pay and Reward, Performance Management, Advising on Employment Law matters, Training and Development and specialist project work.

Her experience has included high volume Recruitment and Selection for sales and customer service staff (incorporating design and management of assessment centres). She also managed recruitment advertising campaigns and liaison with external agencies as well training staff in Sales Techniques, Product Knowledge and Customer Service Skills. Sue has managed specialist recruitment campaigns for senior management and technical contract and interim positions, (up to Managing Director level) and designed, delivered and evaluated in house management training.

Sue is an Associate of the Institute of Consulting (a division of The Chartered Management Institute) and a Chartered Member of the Institute of Personnel and Development.


Paul Trudgian

Paul Trudgian MILT is a Supply Chain professional with over 13 years development and operational experience with manufacturing and 3rd party logistics providers in various senior roles including Global Supply Chain Manager, Head of New Product Development and Divisional S&OP Manager.

Paul has held several senior European roles within the mining, manufacturing and third party logistics industries. He is an experienced programme leader, with a proven ability to manage and drive change which has delivered significant reductions in capital investment and inventory costs, whilst also supporting major initiatives in portfolio rationalisation.

He has a high level of expertise in the analysis, design and implementation of large-scale logistics operations as well as Supply Chain process integration, with a focus on strategic design, network optimisation and planning processes.  His experience also includes the successful design and implementation of Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) across multiple sales territories and manufacturing sites.

Paul is a Member of the Institute of Logistics and his key focus areas for client support are tactical development of logistics operations and strategic supply chain improvement programmes and S&OP design and implementation.

Previously part of the Senior Consultant team, Paul rejoined the company in May 2010 after completing a 2 year position as European S&OP (Sales & Operations Planning) Manager for a leading Global manufacturer. 


Christophe Evo

Christophe Evo MSc has over 18 years experience in all aspects of Logistics, Warehousing and International Distribution and Haulage, working with European and UK food Retailers, Wholesalers and Manufacturers, and was former Head of Distribution for RHM Frozen foods (now part of the Premier Foods Group), for 5 of his 11 year career with them, prior to joining Gideon Hillman Consulting in 2008.

He has specific experience and expertise within Multi-temperature Distribution and Warehouse management best practice, as well as Warehouse management systems (WMS), Distribution Planning, Logistics Outsourcing, Sales Order Capture & Forecasting and the Integration of Production and Buying teams.

His consultancy work includes Logistics and Warehousing service reviews for efficiency improvements, “pallet mile” reduction initiative design and implementation, reducing carbon emissions through changes in the Supply Chain. In addition he also specialises in raw materials and ingredients procurement and management ensuring synchronous flow of material to meet production schedules within food processing plants and Supply Chain alignment within all sectors.

Christophe is fluent in both French and English, has a master’s degree in International Trade, B.T.S. in International Commerce (equivalent to BA) and his CPC in National and International Haulage.

illip Beckham MILT has over 30 years experience in Warehousing and Materials Handling including 20 years in Management positions covering all aspects of Materials Management, Procurement, Stores and Inventory Management, UK & European Logistics, Supply Chain Optimisation and Quality Management, prior to joining Gideon Hillman Consulting in 2007.

He has significant experience in Inventory Management, Vendor Management, Vendor Support Operations, Logistics, Materials and Warehouse Management as well as 8 years Facilities and Engineering management experience and is a Member of the Institute of Logistics and Transport.

Project managed the integration of a variety of MRP & ERP systems modules covering Warehouse & Mate rials Management across production sites and warehouse facilities, including the development of complete Standard Operating Processes and delivering associated training.

Phillip is an expert in Warehouse facility layouts and design (including resource planning) to optimise pick rates and efficiency and provides our clients with detailed layout designs and full racking and equipment requirement specifications utilising our in-house CAD design facilities combined with his significant experience.

 


 SpecialistsAlan Griffin BSc (Hons) is a highly analytical strategic supply chain and process development professional with 20 years’ experience, 14 of which as Warehouse Design Manager for a major 3PL, with extensive expertise in the design, development and implementation of innovative national and global supply chain solutions for clients, specialising on warehousing and internal plant design, Lean operational processes and change management.

He has sourced and project managed new facilities, ranging from existing 1,500ft² units, to design and build facilities of over 500,000 ft², and the materials handling equipment (static, manual and automated) required to operate them. This has required collaboration with WMS suppliers and operations staff to design warehouse processes for the requirements of individual applications, and move through user acceptance to live operations.

Alan has his CPC for National Transport Operations and a BSc (Hons) Degree in Transport Management.


Angus WolfendaleAngus Wolfendale MBA, MSc, BA (Hons) has 30 years’ experience in manufacturing and logistics environments having held senior operational and strategic positions within Global logistics companies and manufacturers across Europe for multi-site network operations; corporate turnarounds, acquisition management and organisational change. He is highly analytical with the expertise to identify opportunities for financial, operational & environmental improvements in the supply-chain, together with the Project Management expertise to successfully realise these opportunities.

Angus has successfully developed analytical tools to demonstrate the relative cost and environmental impact of different elements within supply chain and distribution operations across a range of industry sectors and has been the Programme Manager for Gideon Hillman Consulting on the McDonald’s Restaurants European Logistics Network review and Improvement project since June 2010.
