Gideon Hillman FCILT FCMI has over 20 years European Supply Chain, Logistics and Materials Handling industry experience, having been employed at a Senior Management Level throughout Europe with both manufacturers and Global 3rd Party Logistics Providers for over 12 years, prior to establishing Gideon Hillman Consulting in 2004.
His areas of expertise and experience are in Logistics Outsourcing and Tender Management, Logistics Network Development, Commercial and Business Development, Operational and Commercial due diligence, Supply Chain Solution Design, Improvement and Implementation throughout Europe for major manufacturers and household brand names in the Automotive, Aerospace, Food Production and Processing, Grocery and Non-Grocery Retail, Home Delivery Networks, Utilities and General Industrial and Manufacturing sectors.
Gideon is frequently asked to write articles for trade publications and provide editorial comment on a range of Logistics and Warehousing topics and has been invited on two occasions to address trade missions by invitation of The Canadian High Commission in London on the subject of Warehousing and Logistics Outsourcing in the UK. He has also been a conference speaker at The IFPWA annual conference (hosted by UKWA) and at the Aid and Trade Conference in Geneva.
Gideon is a Chartered Fellow of the Institute of Logistics and Transport, a Fellow of The Chartered Management Institute and a Member of The Institute of Consulting; from which he received an industry award in 2011 for his work in Logistics Network Design and outsourcing.
Paul Trudgian MILT is a Supply Chain professional with over 15 years development and operational experience with manufacturing and 3rd party logistics providers in various senior roles including Global Supply Chain Manager, Head of New Product Development and Divisional S&OP Manager.
Paul has held several senior European roles within the mining, manufacturing and third party logistics industries. He is an experienced programme leader, with a proven ability to manage and drive change which has delivered significant reductions in capital investment and inventory costs, whilst also supporting major initiatives in portfolio rationalisation and Inventory Management techniques.
He has a high level of expertise in the analysis, design and implementation of large-scale logistics operations as well as Supply Chain process integration, with a focus on strategic design, network optimisation and planning processes. His experience also includes the successful design and implementation of Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) across multiple sales territories and manufacturing sites.
Paul is a Member of the Institute of Logistics and his key focus areas for client support are tactical development and implementation of logistics operations and strategic Supply Chain improvement programmes.

Christophe Evo MSc has over 18 years experience in all aspects of Logistics, Warehousing and International Distribution and Haulage, working with European and UK food Retailers, Wholesalers and Manufacturers, and was former Head of Distribution for RHM Frozen foods (now part of the Premier Foods Group), for 5 of his 11 year career with them, prior to joining Gideon Hillman Consulting in 2008.
He has specific experience and expertise within Multi-temperature Distribution and Warehouse management best practice, as well as Warehouse management systems (WMS), Distribution Planning, Logistics Outsourcing, Sales Order Capture & Forecasting and the Integration of Production and Buying teams.
His consultancy work includes Logistics and Warehousing service reviews for efficiency improvements, “pallet mile” reduction initiative design and implementation, reducing carbon emissions through changes in the Supply Chain. In addition he also specialises in raw materials and ingredients procurement and management ensuring synchronous flow of material to meet production schedules within food processing plants and Supply Chain alignment within all sectors.
Christophe is fluent in both French and English, has a master’s degree in International Trade, B.T.S. in International Commerce (equivalent to BA) and his CPC in National and International Haulage.
Phillip Beckham MILT has over 30 years’ experience in Logistics and Warehousing covering all aspects of Materials Management, Procurement, Warehouse and Inventory Management, UK & European Logistics, Supply Chain Optimisation and Quality Management, prior to joining Gideon Hillman Consulting as a Senior Consultant in 2007.
He has significant expertise in Vendor Management, Vendor Support Operations, Inbound/outbound Logistics, Warehouse facility layouts and design to optimise pick rates and efficiency as well as 8 years Facilities and Engineering management experience. He has project managed the integration of a variety of MRP & ERP systems modules covering Warehouse & Materials Management across production sites and warehouse facilities, including the development of complete Standard Operating Procedures.
Phillip, a Member of the Institute of Logistics and Transport, is an expert in Warehouse facility layouts and design (including resource planning) and WMS integration to optimise pick rates and efficiency and provides our clients with detailed layout designs and full racking and equipment requirement specifications utilising our in-house CAD design facilities combined with his significant experience.
Angus Wolfendale MBA, MSc, BA (Hons) is a highly analytical supply chain and logistics process development professional with 30 years’ experience in manufacturing and logistics environments. He has held senior operational and strategic positions within Global logistics companies and manufacturers across Europe for multi-site Logistics network operations; corporate turnarounds, acquisition management and organisational change.
Angus has extensive expertise in the design, development and implementation of innovative logistics and supply chain solutions requiring collaboration with ERP system suppliers and warehouse operations staff to design logistics and warehouse processes for the requirements of individual applications, and move through user acceptance to live operations.
He is highly analytical with the expertise to identify opportunities for financial, operational & environmental improvements in the supply-chain, logistics and distribtuion operations, together with the Project Management expertise to successfully realise these opportunities.
Angus has successfully developed analytical tools to demonstrate the relative cost and environmental impact of different elements within supply chain and distribution operations across a range of industry sectors and was the Programme Manager for Gideon Hillman Consulting on the McDonald’s Restaurants European Logistics Network review and Improvement project between June 2010 and September 2011 as well as working with a number of other clients.

Aidan Ward is a highly analytical project manager who has a broad scope of expertise within the manufacturing and logistics environments having been employed by both 3rd Party logistics providers and manufacturers prior to becoming a consultant in 2000.
Since then he has worked with a number of retailers, manufacturers, wholesalers and 3rd party logistics providers on productivity improvement and resource optimisation through facility layout design, flow and process modelling as well as using industrial engineering techniques.
His specific expertise and experience includes manufacturing facility and warehouse solutions and layout design including CAD & Project Management, complex spread sheet strategic operations modelling (including strategic mathematical models for warehouse network capacity and pick face allocation).
